FATHER AND SON Orin and Oein Josiah last weekend finished on top in the first BFIT Bushy Park Duathlon hosted by the Barbados Federation of Island Triathletes.
New BFIT president Darren Treasure said the event was hosted in order to cater to different age groups and people of different athletic ability.
“The course was ideal for such an event, being self-contained and free from traffic, and the draft legal bike course was smooth and fast. Despite the constant easterly winds, the run course was straightforward with one challenge of a short, steep hill,” he said.
The adult road bike race course included a 4km run, a 16km bike ride and a 2km run, while the adult mountain bike course included a 4km run, a 14km ride and a 2km run. (RA)
